The singing voice of Macross Frontier’s female lead “Sheryl Nome” (シェリル・ノーム) will be making her overseas debut in Singapore at the inaugural Anime Festival Asia 2008!
May’n LIVE! at AFA08
MAY’N (aka 中林芽依/May Nakabayashi) will be appearing on stage at AFA08. MAY’N will be bringing to you the Sheryl Nome experience live in Singapore on 23 Nov!
The up and coming J-pop diva will be performing a mini-concert under the Anime Live! experience zone at the festival.

MAY’N will be performing about seven songs at AFA08.
And for the price of an entry ticket (S$5 for a day, S$8 for a two-day pass) , not only will you be able to watch MAY’N sing, you’ll also be able to catch other happening events at the two-day festival.
Kunio Okawara
The mecha meister, Kunio Okawara (大河原邦男) will be present at AFA08. He is going to be the judge for the Singapore leg of the BAKUC competition held under the Planet Mech experience zone.

SHONEN JUMP 40TH ANNIVERSARY WORLD TOUR
At the Mangaka experience zone, Shueisha will be bringing to you the SHONEN JUMP 40th Anniversary World Tour. Expect to see lots of prints of this seminal manga magazine that’s influenced the lives of boys (and girls) living in this part of the world and beyond.
Anime Blockbusters – Mobile Suit Gundam OO
The Anime Blockbusters zone will feature media and exhibits from at least six hot titles – D.Gray Man, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, Shakugan no Shana, Domo-kun, Mobile Suit Gundam OO and Skip Beat!
And for all of you collectors out there, what about merchandise?

AFA 2008 Special Announcements
At yesterday’s AFA08 special announcement conference, almost all the who’s who from the otaku blogging scene were present. It’s interesting to note that Singapore is over-represented in this corner of cyberspace.
