It appears that the “ODEX VCD recycling drive” came to a screeching halt when the owner(s) of the site “Odex Revolution” pulled the plug on itself. It seems that the people behind the idea got cold feet and chickenend out.
DOWN WITH ODEX
*shrugs* Whatever. But the Party must go on! :D
This Saturday, 25th Aug 2007, I’ll be taking out some of my dusty toys to play. I’m going to do an action-figures and figurines photoshoot. I’ll be at the Youth Park from 4pm onwards (after I’d pick up my loot from KKnM’s Chara Fest 2007) with some of my friends for the photography session. I welcome those who’d also like to bring along their action figures or figurines to play with us :)
The action figures will be enacting the sentiments of the local otaku and anime-fans over the on-going ODEX saga. If people could assembly freely in Singapore, they’d be doing what the action figures are doing. So let the People’s Action Figures Party do the talking!
People’s Action Figures Party
For those who’re interested to contribute to the strength of the People’s Action Figure Party, you’re more than welcome! It would be interesting to see a mix of assembled figurines from transforming Monkeys to MS-in-Action Zakus standing shoulder to shoulder with Dolfies, inarticulate figures and what not.
Here are some resources that you can use to make your own props:
Anti-ODEX Logo (Smudged Marker-Ink Remix)
You can use the attached copy of Anti-Odex logos to make pla-cards and pickets for your action figures and figurines. [Download the pdf file here]
As in all moral plays, there’s always the Protagonist and then there’s the Opposing Force. Here’s the personification of 3V1L, of the local anime-distributor that pwned j00:
XEDO Henchman
Make your own XEDO Evil Henchmen to play with! [Download the pdf file here] Line them up and pit them against the assembled army of the People’s Action Figure Party!!!
I heard that these XEDO Henchmen draw their power from the ODEX VCDs…with every ODEX VCD destroyed (cut up, smashed, broken into halves etc.) each one of them will burst into flames. You might want to bring along your collection of ODEX VCDs (that is, if you’ve ever patronised ODEX) to see if that really happens.
*winks* ;-)
